Our Story
It all begins with their love story. In 2002, The owner, JJ, had a vision to open an upscale Thai restaurant that would describe the character of his wife. That is how the restaurant got its name, Noi. Noi (Meaning tiny or little) was born in Thailand. She is the youngest daughter in her family, which is why her mom (Chanpen, Founder of Bai Tong Thai Restaurants), named her Noi. For JJ, Noi is the most beautiful woman; she is elegant, kind, positive, and a very caring person. The restaurant is created in honor of her character. JJ has put his heart and soul in every detail of the restaurant from the design and decor and especially in the food. He flew all the way to Thailand to select the best Thai chefs, to ensure that every dish on our menu brings you the heart and character of his loving Wife Noi. JJ once said, “ I always remember the first time I kissed her.” And like a first kiss, we want our guests to fall in love with our food and always remember that first bite.

Our Family Restaurants
In 1989, the original Bai Tong started as a small restaurant near the Sea-Tac airport by the former Thai Airways flight attendant, Chanpen Lapangkura. She called her restaurant ‘Bai Tong’, which means banana leaf in Thai. Since then, we now have four locations in Washington.
Bai Tong Thai Street Café offers varieties of famous street foods from Thailand. We offer authentic Thai food that you would find at food stalls on the street side in Thailand. We bring you the taste and the freshness of Thai street food without having to take a plane ride.
